A must read before you check into 2021.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, no doubt. Merry Christmas in arrears Lovelies.

I assure you I didn't run away, school and exams happened.😁

I had no plans of making a blog post until next year but I knew that was me procrastinating again, so here I am guys.

During the week, I observed how negative people behave and I realized it robbed off on me in some ways. I found myself saying "This has got to be the 'dryest' holiday."

I asked myself why I loved this festive season so much as a kid. Was it because of the songs, the gifts, the mood of the festive period or just getting to see loved ones and spending time together? Hmm.

There's no doubt how challenging this year was for everyone. The corona virus which was accompanied with a lockdown affected relationships, businesses and institutions. However, we came out stronger, better and that is enough to be grateful. The festive season is all about gratitude and expressing love. 

I'll quickly take you through 3 powerful key points I penned down.

1. Savings.

2. New year resolution.

3.What to do during this season.


1. Savings.



No matter how we spend during this period, we should know there's life after the celebration. Please do not use up all your savings, keep some aside as you celebrate. Save up for the remaining days. 

2. New year resolution.


In as much as we write and talk about our new year resolution, if we don't put in effort it'll just be ink on paper and mere words. This time be more intentional. Do you want to start a business, career, blog, podcast? Go for it. That book, write it, that idea, put it to use. 

You might want to cut off from a relationship that you know isn't good for you, do it. It's not enough to put it on social media and do nothing about it. Please make a move🙏


3. What to do during this season.


1. Have an attitude of gratitude.

2. Tell your family, friends and loved ones you love them and walk towards building a better relationship with them. 

3. Have fun. 

5. Be content. 

6. Prepare for the next year.

A letter to a younger version of myself

Hi and welcome to my blog. I’m super excited to write about this topic because it’s something I’ve always thought about and I’m sure you have too. Is Birthday depression a thing?

With my birthday approaching, I just can’t help but talk about this. Yes, Birthday depression is a thing.   The feeling is not pleasant I must say,  It entails  feeling lonelier on a day you are meant to feel loved, cherished and appreciated ,   e specially when it appears  as t he only day you get noticed , feeling like a burden to your friends and family, feeling sad, underachieved, less enthusiastic as the days roll by, feeling anxious beforehand and on the day itself. Here’s why self pity sucks

Hey you! It’s your favorite blogger. Ajiri aka Aj😉 I’ve asked several persons what they think self pity means. The truth is not everybody knows the difference. Most times we misunderstand the difference between sadness and self pity.   While sadness is normal and lasts for a short period of time, self pity is an excessive self absorbed unhappiness one feels over their own troubles. This type of sadness is exaggerated. For example, a person may feel terribly bad for their misfortune and instead of doing something to move forward or change their situation they would just feel so sorry for themselves, instead of getting up and being optimistic, they remain hopeless and blame other people or circumstances for what could be happening to them.   The number one reason why self pity sucks is because we never take responsibility for our actions. New year, new plans?

Le t me start by saying merry Christmas in arrears. I’ve been super pumped about this holiday and I’m certain you’ve had a tremendous experience, yes? Anyways, it’s the season of giving and I’m so excited to be writing the last blog post for 2021. This is an amazing time of the year and I want to use this medium to say a very big thank you to everyone who has engaged in this space since I started. Y’all are the real MVPs😘   I honestly didn’t want to sound cliche, that’s why I’m not going to start going on and on about resetting and implementing new goals and plans which is a very great thing to do, don’t get me wrong. Instead I’m here to advise you to focus on using 2022 to continue that great goal could be a business, a skill etc that you’ve got going.
